Best Friends Pet Care has started this group to give our camp parents and their furry kids a safe environment to play and make new friends. We offer dog camp during the week and on Saturdays for the dogs to play without their parents! Our goal with this meetup is to give more dog parents a fun and safe place to meet other social dogs and their families in the area. This is a group to facilitate Havanese dogs and their owners getting together for fun and friendship. I love the idea of multiple fluffy clown pups cavorting together, don't you? One of the reasons I started this group is because as anyone with a very small dog knows, the cold can be tough on them which severely curtails dog park fun and exercise. And with a Havanese, you know what a nightmare the snow in that fur can be! To that end I'm hoping we can meet for indoor playdates at places such as …

This group was created to get the word out about events supporting the health and well-being of animals, Chicagoland shelters & rescues, and Chicagoland park preservation efforts. Most of the meetups are philanthropic in nature but we'll also be meeting up for pup friendly picnics, walks, and play dates at dog friendly parks. If you have a passion for improving the lives of animals in your community or if you're looking for fellow animal lovers to hang out with on a pretty day we’d love to meet …
I recently relocated to Illinois from San Antonio, Tx, home of the largest dog walking meet up group in the USA. I was very disappointed when I was unable to find an active dog walking group in this area and decided to start one. Anyone who loves to hike and loves their dog will enjoy this group. The plan is to explore the area's state parks with our 4 legged friends!

Looking to meet other rat terriers and their fans? Then come join the pack. Similar dogs are welcome, too!
Tired of everything always being about Naperville? (lol) Well there is stuff to do in this neck of the woods too! Come out, meet some of your neighbors, see movies, dine out, visit some clubs, even play some bingo, board or card games! Maybe even have a pick up game of volleyball or basketball at the community center, skating at the ice arenas, or in the warm months a dip in the pool at the aquatic center, take a stroll thru one of the many parks, take your dog out to the dog park... It's about …

We find homes for approximately 1,100 furry friends each year. One hundred percent of all donations support our animals as we are a volunteer shelter. Our events include dog walks, bingo, dances, auctions, flower sales, and just about any event that will raise funds for the animals. Either attend or help plan or run one of our events.
Welcome to Uptown Runners! Though Chicago is full of devoted runners, many of the groups meet in Lincoln Park. But why head down there? We've got beautiful stretches of lakefront path and terrific, fun neighborhoods to run through right here in Uptown. The goal of this group is to connect with other runners in the area and find running buddies! Organizers will host 2-3 runs a week, but all members can request to host runs themselves. Want company on your 6:00 am 6 mile run each Wednesday morning …

There are many fantastic groups in the city, just too long of a drive for me sometimes... So I decided to start my own and see how it goes. This group is for dog owners that love walks and scouting some new places around, going to dog friendly parks/places. I also included cat lovers since I am a pet photographer wishing to be able to photograph some cats and learn their behavior better. Looking forward to meet some local pet lovers soon!

My girlfriend and I own 2 Pits and walk our neighbor hood often where we see many other dogs like ours. Since we all know the bully breeds have a "unique" way of playing together, we thought it would be fun for us Pit Lovers to meet up once a month to socialize. Both our Pitts and us! Our idea was meeting up on a saturday afternoon once a month at Smith Park, where the pups can play in the grass. There is also a fenced in tennis court area that doesn't seem to get much action. After they tire th …

Outdoor Movie Nights! When Chicago's warmer summer weather allows it, we set up an outdoor movie night each month to take advantage of the season (generally May - Sept). In October, when it gets a bit too cold for movies, we set up a haunted house and pumpkin patch. The lawn space opens early for people to spread out their picnic blankets, mingle with their friends and neighbors, and grab a bite to eat. Before show time - we grill out and BBQ for a few hours while we wait for dusk. People are e …
